- West Virginia Penitentiary – Looking for history or the paranormal? The WV Penitentiary is one of the Valley’s most interesting historical sites. This is Moundsville’s most popular attraction. They offer everything from daily tours to overnight investigations. Ever wanted to try an escape room? You can now escape the Penitentiary. Halloween changes everything for the Pen. The WV Pen offers many events including events for kids and families to enjoy.
- Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex – Also in Moundsville, this museum showcases some of the things found in the nearby Grave Creek Burial Mound. This burial mound is one of the largest Native American burial mounds ever discovered. It’s a great way to see what life was like before we arrived.
